Kyary Pamyu Pamyu
In the summer of 2011, the artist made her major debut with the mini-album Moshi Moshi Harajuku produced by Yasutaka Nakata. Her first full-length album, Pamyu Pamyu Revolution, debuted in May 2012 and reached #1 on the Oricon Daily Charts, as well as ranking #1 on numerous iTunes charts in Japan and on electronic charts around the world.
Following this immediate success, Kyary set out on her first national tour, performed at Nippon Budokan, and appeared in the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen for the first time, while continuing to release hit after hit. In 2013, she successfully completed her first world tour, performing in 13 cities in eight countries and regions. To date, Kyary has embarked on four world tours. Not influenced by the world and true to herself, Kyary’s free-spirited style and originality have captivated the world.
In 2021, the 10th anniversary of her debut, Kyary launched KRK LAB, a new label created as a platform for free expression. In January 2022, the artist embarked on her largest-ever nationwide tour, ‘Kyary Pamyu Pamyu 10th ANNIVERSARY JAPAN TOUR 2022 CANDY WAVE.’ She also performed at Coachella, one of the largest music festivals on Earth, in April 2022, captivating the world with her stunning performance and becoming a trending topic on Twitter in both Japan and the United States.
The Harajuku-based Japanese pop icon continues to confidently march to the beat of her own drum.
